Acceptable use policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026.
This policy defines how the Proxy Mailbox address and service may and may not be used. It is part of your Terms of Use. Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination and, where required, a report to the USPS Inspection Service or law enforcement.
Permitted use
Receiving personal or business mail and packages, mail scanning and forwarding, and the handling services described in your plan and the Fee Schedule.
Prohibited use
You may not use the Proxy Mailbox address or service to:
- Commit or further any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive act, including mail fraud, identity theft, or money laundering.
- Receive, store, or forward controlled substances, hazardous or explosive materials, firearms or ammunition where prohibited, live animals, perishable goods likely to spoil, cash or bearer instruments, or any item prohibited by USPS, the carrier, or applicable law.
- Misrepresent your identity, provide false information on USPS Form 1583, or use the address for an entity or person not listed and verified on the account.
- Register the address as a location for any activity that requires a license or physical presence you do not have, or in a way that violates USPS CMRA rules.
- Evade legal process, hide assets, or receive mail intended to defraud creditors, courts, or government agencies.
- Resell, sublicense, or share the address or account with unauthorized parties.
- Interfere with the service, other customers, or our staff, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
Identity and compliance
Federal CMRA rules require a current, notarized USPS Form 1583 and valid identification for every recipient. We may refuse, hold, or return mail, and may suspend service, if identification or Form 1583 is missing, expired, or inconsistent.
Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, cooperate with law enforcement, and disclose information as required by law or valid legal process. We may refuse or dispose of any prohibited item at your expense.
